【Fin】6th FBNJ Workshop Information 2022

Notice of the 6th Workshop for  2022

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation in the activities of FBN Japan.

Since the first quarter of 2020, our activities have been “remote” sessions and our once-a-year “face-to-face” activities at Gramping have been our “good luck”. Business Network International (FBNI) President, Mr. Farhad Forbes, for an early, in-person year-end party.

One of the seven wonders of FBNI is, without a doubt, the small number of participants from Japan. It is common knowledge among our peers that Japan is a major player in family businesses (“FBs”) by almost every measure, including the number and percentage of FBs, and by extension, their contribution to GDP, and the level of interest is also staggering. Of course, from our perspective, there are a number of reasons why we are “less”, such as language barriers, cultural differences, and the fact that FB is too commonplace. However, there is absolutely no difference in our desire to learn from and interact with each other.

It’s a bit strange, but the exchange when the India Chapter visited Japan in 2019 is still talked about by more than a few chapters as a great exchange, and Forbes is a witness to that. The phenomenon of “less is more” is something we are very good at. Interaction with visitors from abroad is our best and most beneficial activity.

Besides the Japan Chapter, the Corona Disaster has brought about a major turnover of members, a crisis in our activities, and a change in our methods. And that is not all bad, but perhaps necessary. In this issue, the Forbes President will speak briefly about what has happened in the world over the past three years. It is our activity as a world and as a chapter, and it is also an excellent example of what some FBs have done and put into practice.

Please feel free to join us for this exchange. If you are interested in business and exchanges with India, Mr. Forbes’ excellent insights are contracted to be a little early Christmas present, ah! It’s a little late Diwali (Indian festival of lights).
